SHAPING CLAY, a juried selection of Singapore’s noteworthy ceramists

 

SHAPING CLAY presents a current, selective view of noteworthy ceramic works made by clay makers based in Singapore, and which point to the future of Singapore ceramics. The Selection Panel seeks to exhibit works that are artistic, original, innovative, fresh, creative, stretching the boundaries of ceramic work, that may have a sense of cultural identity and imagination. 

Previous selected clay makers include Hiroko Mita, Loh Lik Kian & Debbie Ng, Ken Lu, Steven Low Thia Khiang, Loy Yan Ling, Hyesook Lee, Mona Malhotra, Emily Moh, Suriani Suratman, Teo Huey Ling and Zestro Leow, who exhibited innovative and outstanding works that challenged their personal practice in clay.

Applications are open to all clay makers who are Singapore citizens or who are based in Singapore.

Submit your application with CV, artist statement, portfolio and images of proposed work by 21 July 2026 23:59h.
