Singapore Clay Festival and the Clay Makers’ Market

The Singapore Clay Festival (the “Festival”) and the Clay Makers’ Market (the “Market”) are organised by: Clay Festival Pte Ltd, (collectively “the organisers”, “we” or “us”)
This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal data. This Privacy Notice will be updated from time to time and you are advised to review the notice on a regular basis for any updates or changes.
What is Personal Data?
Personal data refers to any information or data, whether true or not, about an individual/natural person who can be identified (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access to (“Personal Data”).
Examples of Personal Data that we may collect include your name, name of parent/guardian (for applicants who are under 18 years of age), NRIC number (in full or in part), date of birth, residential address, bank account information, personal email address (not used for business purposes) and mobile number (not used for business purposes).
Personal Data excludes "business contact information" as defined in the Personal Data Protection Act (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore ( "PDPA").
How we collect Personal Data
Your Personal Data may be collected by us if you:
a. Access or use our website;
b. Submit an application to participate in the Festival;
c. Sign up to be on our mailing list for newsletters or updates; or
d. Send us an email, instant message or through other means of communication.
How we use Personal Data
It is our intention that the Singapore Clay Festival will be held regularly. To that end, we may use your Personal Data for various purposes relating to the Festival and any future Singapore Clay Festivals which may be held including but not limited to:
a. Processing your application to participate in the Festival and any future Singapore Clay Festivals;
b. Record keeping and administrative functions with respect to your participation in the Festival and any future Singapore Clay Festivals;
c. Communicating with you regarding your participation in the Festival and any future Singapore Clay Festivals;
d. Sending you updates and newsletters regarding the Festival and any future Singapore Clay Festivals;
e. Processing payments made by you to the organisers or by the organisers to you (examples of such payments include refunds to unsuccessful applicants or payment of sales proceeds for the sale of works).
By submitting Personal Data to us, using our website, or communicating with us, you agree and consent to the organisers (and our agents, authorized representatives, sub-contractors or third- party service providers) collecting, using, processing and/or disclosing your Personal Data in accordance with the limited purposes above.
Other than for the limited purposes above, we will not share your Personal Data with any other third parties.
Security and Retention
We will put in place reasonable security arrangements to ensure that your Personal Data is adequately secured. Appropriate physical, administrative and technological safeguards will be implemented to prevent any unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification leakage, loss, damage and/or alteration of your Personal Data.
We are not responsible for relying on inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data arising from your failure to update us of any changes in a timely manner.
While we endeavor to engage professional service providers to store and/or secure your Personal Data, we cannot assume responsibility for any unauthorized use of your Personal Data by third parties arising out of factors that are beyond our control.
We will retain your Personal Data in accordance with the laws and regulations or until it no longer serves the limited Purposes.
We will put in place measures such that your Personal Data in our possession or under our control is destroyed and/or anonymized (so that it cannot be associated with you) as soon as it is reasonable to assume that we do not need to retain the Personal Data.
Access to and Withdrawal of Access to Personal Data
a. have any questions or feedback relating to how we manage your Personal Data;
b. wish to withdraw your consent for us to collect, use, process and/or disclose your Personal Data; or
c. wish to request for an access to or correction of your Personal Data in our control or possession (a reasonable fee may be charged per request)

Please note that your right to access your Personal Data is not an absolute right. It is subject to exceptions under the PDPA.
If you withdraw your consent for us to collect, use, process and/or disclose your Personal Data, your participation in the Festival may be impacted as we may not be able to continue to provide with information regarding the Festival or to maintain a relationship with you.
Please note that even after you have withdrawn your consent, we may continue to use and retain your Personal Data to the extent required or permitted by law.
